Urban Art Day

The Plein aire artist of OOPS (Onslow Outdoor Painters Society) converged on downtown Jacksonville at the train depot sunday for a great day of painting.  It was my first try at buildings and perspective.  I still do not have the hang of it as evidenced by the street angle.  I was too far into it and refuse to fix paintings at this stage in my art. It leaves more room for improvement this way! Ha! I did have to wait a day to put the name on the sign. The green was very wet.  I am including the picture of what I was painting also.  This was very challenging to do in one sitting.  There is still so much shading that could be done but it was overcast and the shadows were hard to see. Please feel free to comment. Thanks!

Dean,

It's beautiful! Send me an email at Thomas(AT)BrockNet(DOT)Net and I'll send you the photograph I took of your "work in-progress".

And, hey, since it is my apartment and all, would you be interested in selling the painting?

Good work!
