This was a detour off the horses for a night. I went to paint with Bernie Rosage and he was going to show me how to paint glass. Two weeks prior when we got together we used acrylics and prepared a background for this venture. We basically used gray and white. After it dried we toned it with an oil wash over it. We tried to simulate the look of a photographers backdrop. I like this technique. What I found interesting about painting the glass was we used a flake white. I always thought that white was white. Guess I was wrong. Then we just painted the ice cubes in different intensities of the white. The lemon slice was an effort all in itself. I never got what I was looking at but was satisfied with the results. By the time we had finished the ice was melted and the glass was sweating! I don't think I could paint that. It only took us an hour and a half. I usually don't get home till 11:30pm on our paint outs. All in all I enjoyed it very much. As soon as I learn how to do links I am going to link Bernie's blog so you can see what this stuff is supposed to look like! ( I think I figured it out!!!) Thanks for looking and as always feel free to comment.
