weekend work

Sunday I went out with the OOPS group to Croatan National forest. There was plenty to choose from but I, like others settled on a marsh scene. I am trying to learn how to paint grass and so I tried two shots at marsh. My first try was a 6x8 river and marsh. I then tried a 9x12 of another scene and added a tree. When I got home I put an egret in the pic. It looks more like a duck though. Ha! On monday I painted again. This was a picture I took of Mitchell Morton painting. I Like the simplicity of the marshes in this one. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking, Dean

SOLD the marsh scene.. not really because I couldn't take her money, but she would have bought it!  (or so she said!)
