socket wrench and civil war canteen

Here are two pics I did this week.  The socket wrench was on my own and the civil war canteen I painted last night @ Bernie's. I am learning to keep at the picture till it is done.  Sometimes during a painting session I think the picture will not turn out but I am usually pleased with the outcome. I am learning a lot about applying  what I have been learning in still life painting to plein aire. I just saw the correlation today so the next plein aire you see should be better than what I have been doing. Please feel free to leave comments if you want and check out the link to Bernie's art.
